tate has been tricking me this whole time! i didnt think he was ready to sit up by himself, then i set a toy in front of him then boom! he did it. he sat by himself for the first time for about ten mins before tipping over! im so proud of him and how much hes constantly growing and learning new things. who knows? crawling could be just around the corner! where did my newborn go??!!

WeEKenD WiTH maDiSon

tate loves his cousin madison! cheri and josh's middle child, madison, is staying with us until tomorrow night. she turns 2 on june 1st and is FULL of energy! she keeps us on our toes constantly, but she is so much fun to have around! best of all, tate LOVES her. they really play well together! madison plays the "mommy" role really well. shes always trying to help and sometimes, she actually does! :) this has been a fun weekend!!

TatE's FirSt FIshInG TrIP

last thursday our family took our first fishing trip! we got my dad's boat (a tiny metal row boat), and took it out to cluff pond. the weather was great for fishing, but the water was still cold for swimming. by the time we got everything unloaded and onto the boat, it was beginning to get pretty hot. tate did well for about 30 mins until he decided he HATED fishing. (either that or he decided he was too hot too like it!) our trip ended early due to a grouchy tate. we didnt catch anything but we still had a blast! plus, nothing beats how cute tate looks in his fishing outfit! ;)

we are loving our new home! thanks to an older couple in our ward, we are able to rent their home fairly cheap while they serve a mission in africa. the view here is amazing! now that summer is just around the corner and the weather is beginning to warm up, sitting on our front porch is becoming one of our favorite pass times. i cant wait for monsoon season! we can even see the new gila valley temple light up the sky at night! sometimes its the simple things we need to make more time for in life...

well...i dont wanna give too many "details" about what tate is doing here :) but its stinkin cute! and i mean STINKIN! he grunts like a grown man! poor lil guy has been backed up for days now and we decided to take measures into our own hands. first day of some diluted juice!! (sorry but i had to post this! aww memories!) and needless to say, he does not LOVE juice.

he forgave me in the end...

well i decided it was time i finally got a blog for our family! i cant guarantee that i will always have wonderful thoughts and ideas to post, but i will try my best to keep updated! remember im a beginner! So here goes nothing!
